In a decisive move, Muazu Adamu-Laka, the district head of Bosso Local Government Area in Niger State, has removed Abdullahi Isah from his position as Wakilin Matasa Bosso.
Isah’s support for a planned nationwide hunger protest, set to begin on August 1, 2024, prompted this action.
The district, part of the Minna Emirate Council, saw the dismissal formalised in a letter dated July 28.
Adamu-Laka, also known as Hakimi Bosso, directed Isah to cease identifying himself as the youth leader immediately.
The letter read: “I hereby write to inform you that you have been dismissed from your title as Youth Leader of Bosso (Wakilin Matasan Bosso) with immediate effect from July 28, 2024. You should no longer call yourself Youth Leader of Bosso. I hope you will make use of this information given to you.”
Adamu-Laka stated that the community will not tolerate actions that threaten the peace and stability of the state.
