The Oyo State chapter of the Borehole Drillers Association of Nigeria (BODAN) has commended both the Federal Government and the Oyo State Government for creating policies that provide an enabling environment for operators in the drilling sector.
In a statement jointly signed by the State Coordinator, Comrade Samson Abodunrin (popularly known as “Commander”), and the Secretary of the association, Engr. Aderinto Abbas, the group expressed appreciation for government efforts aimed at strengthening the industry and improving access to potable water across communities.
The association noted that recent policy directions and regulatory frameworks have not only enhanced operational efficiency but have also encouraged professionalism among practitioners in the sector.
According to the statement, the supportive environment has helped members of the association to carry out their activities with greater ease, while also contributing meaningfully to water supply development in both urban and rural areas.
BODAN further emphasized that the collaboration between government and industry stakeholders remains crucial in addressing water scarcity challenges and ensuring sustainable groundwater development.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards in drilling practices and pledged continued cooperation with relevant authorities to support initiatives that will improve the wellbeing of citizens.
