Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, accusing his administration of mishandling Nigeria’s fuel subsidy crisis.
In a tweet on Thursday, Atiku referred to Tinubu as “TPain,” a nickname that has recently gained popularity on social media, highlighting widespread frustration over the rising cost of living under his leadership.
Atiku blamed the country’s current economic woes, including soaring inflation, on what he called the “haphazard and disingenuous” management of fuel subsidies by Tinubu’s government.
He warned that the inflation rate, which is severely affecting Nigerians’ daily lives, will continue to escalate unless there is a change in approach.
“It is even more worrying that TPain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country,” Atiku wrote.
He also expressed dismay at Tinubu’s apparent indifference to the growing economic hardships faced by citizens.
