Presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, visited former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar, on Saturday.
Mr Abubakar arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina aboard a private jet at about 11:25 am before proceeding to Daura, the hometown of the former President.
He was accompanied by former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, former PDP National Secretary, Ibrahim Tsauri, and other party stakeholders and supporters.
The former vice president later paid a condolence visit to Alhaji Lawal Kaita and the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, following the death of Usman’s son.
Speaking with journalists in Katsina after the visits, Mr Abubakar stated that his purpose was to congratulate the former president and the Emir of Daura on the successful celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
