Alhaji Oladipupo Musibau, the Secretary General of Araromi Spare Parts Market, has voiced deep concerns over the worsening economic conditions in Nigeria.
Musibau popularly known as Oba in a recent interview with journalists in Ibadan, highlighted that the current economic climate has severely impacted the purchasing power of Nigerians, leading to a noticeable downturn in market activities.
Musibau emphasized that the dire situation is affecting every Nigerian, with many struggling to cope due to the escalating cost of living. He urged the government to intensify their efforts to address these pressing economic issues.
Specifically, he called for a reduction in petroleum prices, arguing that this measure could help bring down the cost of essential commodities and provide much-needed relief to citizens.
Furthermore, Musibau noted that the economic strain has led to a significant drop in market activity, as consumers’ purchasing power has diminished.
He however praised the efforts of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde but also made a plea for additional support from both the state government and the Ibadan North East local government.
He requested the provision of public toilets in Araromi Market to improve sanitary conditions and enhance the overall market experience.
Musibau’s remarks reflect a broader concern about the current state of the economy and its impact on daily life, underscoring the urgent need for effective government intervention.
