APC’s Adefuye Wins Yaba LCDA Chairmanship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Adebayo Anthony Adefuye, has emerged winner of the chairmanship election in Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA), following Saturday’s local government polls in Lagos State.

Adefuye polled a total of 10,137 votes to defeat his closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who garnered 1,687 votes.

The Returning Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Obadina, announced the official results at the Yaba LCDA Secretariat around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday.

“Having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes cast, I hereby declare Adebayo Anthony Adefuye duly elected as Chairman of Yaba LCDA,” Obadina stated.

Other parties that participated in the election include the Action Alliance (AA), which secured 423 votes; the Labour Party (LP), which polled 417 votes; and the Action People’s Party (APP), which recorded 40 votes.
