Ajisafe Emerges New  PDP National Vice Chairman South West

Mr Kamorudeen Ajisafe, the special adviser of Governor Ademola Adeleke on Taxation, has emerged as the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP South West.

His nomination was ratified at the party’s South West zonal caucus meeting held at the Oyo State Government House, Agodi Gate, Ibadan.

Governor Makinde in an interview with newsmen said the South West PDP is now stronger and fully united.

In his words: “The major outcome of this meeting is that now the South-West PDP is fully united.

“And we have a new National Vice Chairman in the person of Mr Lukman Ajisafe.”

Mr Ajisafe in his remark In a remark, expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and his counterpart from Osun, Ademola Adeleke for their leadership roles in his emergence.

Mr Ajisafe also appreciated the party’s National Deputy Chairman (south), Taofeek Arapaja for his support which led to his emergence.

On the dispute resolution within the party, Ajisafe said: “The margin reconciliation is ongoing and as a barrister, I should be able to lend my weight also to the reconciliation process so that at the end of the day, we could easily predict the future that tomorrow will be good and PDP will take its rightful position in the nation’s political arena.

“There’s no doubt the two of them (Makinde and Adeleke) have come together and I’m going to position myself in such a way not to undermine the regulations, rules and constitution of our party.

”So, the reconciliation will continue and we will ensure discipline within our party.”

The PDP National Deputy Chairman (South), Taofeek Arapaja, said Nigerians should expect the PDP with its vast experience in and out of government at the national level to reclaim its rightful position.

Mr Ajisafe replaced late Olasoji Adagunodo who died last year.
