Joao Cancelo has been reportedly passed heart medical tests.
According to a statement by his club, Barcelona, the player, having satisfactorily passed medical tests, is fully fit to join Portugal national team training camp.
He did not play against Atletico to rule out a heart problem after it was detected in a family member.
The Portuguese full-back was a last-minute absentee against Atletico Madrid because a heart problem had been detected in a family member, so the medical staff decided that he should not be called up for further tests to rule out hereditary problems.
“First-team player Joao Cancelo did not travel to Madrid last weekend for the match against Atletico Madrid on medical advice,” the club said in the statement.
“Joao Cancelo has successfully passed the tests carried out under the supervision of the club’s medical services and will join the Portugal national team training camp,” it added.
