The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has declared a two-day nationwide protest for February 27 and 28, 2024.
The national president of the union, Joe Ajaero, made the announcement at Labour House, Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The protest was declared to press the demands on the current hardship being faced by Nigerians since the removal of fuel subsidy on May 29, 2023.

Ajaero also accused the President Bola Tinubu-led government of failing to respond to the needs of citizens.
“It is regrettable that we are compelled to resort to such measures, but the persistent neglect of the welfare of citizens and Nigerian workers and the massive hardship leave us with no choice,” Ajaero said.
