Temitope Olumide Adesina, Social Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate for Ibadan Northwest Local Government of Lagos State, says his passion and focus to develop of the area remain unshakeable.
Mr Adesina disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, on Wednesday.
“To those who know my antecedent, my kind of politics goes beyond seeking office for the fun of it but as a progressive, who’s determine to laying down a solid foundation for infrastructural development, I remain unshakeable in that direction,” he stated.
According to him, people should see him as a new face in politics, who in clear departure from old style where relationship will be built on party politics rather than residents.
“As a reasonable youth, my concern and vision for development of Ibadan Northwest will be of the interest of the people,” Adesina affirmed.
The SDP candidate, who was the chairman of the party in Ward 11 in the local government, is the graduate of political science from prestigious University of Ibadan.
He promised to use his wealth of experience to solve various myriad of problems bedeviling the local government area if he becomes the chairman.
Mr Adesina hinged his programme on education, health, social development, youth and women empowerment if elected.
He said hundreds of youths will be engaged in various work sectors in Ibadan Northwest, especially computer literacy and agriculture to reduce social vices in all communities in the local government.
“Under my tenure, there will be functional Health Care System, by ensuring our primary health care centers are equipped with necessary drugs. We shall also give priority to education facilities in all our public schools through collaboration with the state government. Empowerment of youths and women and social and infrastructural development will be pursued vigorously,” the candidate said.
Mr Adesina reassured the residents of the local government his determination to take their welfare as main priority, even to engage the state government in the area of providing adequate security for the people.
He called on all his supporters to come out enmasse to vote for him on April 24 during the election under the platform of SDP PDP.
