Oyo born scholar, Prince Babatunde Adeniyi, has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Economics and Development Students from the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Kwara State University, Ilorin.
Babatunde, a Commissioner at the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), was among the graduands celebrated by the institution at its 10th and 11th convocation ceremonies, held on Saturday at the citadel of learning, Malete.
While dedicating the feat attained to God Almighty, the Commissioner appreciated those that have contributed to the success of the programme for the gesture and unalloyed support accorded him during the period of the programme.
The OYSIEC boss, Aare Isiaka Abiola Olagunju, SAN, congratulated Babatunde Adeniyi, Ph.D. on the successful completion of his programme .
He lauded the new scholar for his contributions to the achievements of the current OYSIEC team, urging him to continually contribute his quota to the development of the state.
Prince Babatunde is the Pioneer Chairman, Joint Action Committee (JAC), of all the Trade Unions in the six Oyo State Owned Tertiary Institution.
He is also a Principal Lecturer at Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.
