{PHOTOS} Alade Descendants Holds Maiden Family Convocation, Moves To Revive “Alade Day” Celebration

In a bid to bring the family together as a united force for the purpose of promoting love, unity, welfare, and togetherness, the Alade Abinupagun Descendants Association, on Saturday held its maiden Family Convocation at the family Assembly Ground, Alade Town, Akinyele, Oyo state.

Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman, Alade Abinupaguun Descendants Association (AADA), Alhaji Yekinni Bello, said the convocation was a testimony to the rebirth of legacies and history of the Alade family.

Alhaji Bello, who spoke through the Vice Chairman of the Association, Comrade Olu Abiala , Esq, reiterated the commitment of the leadership of the association to build a united, prosperous and exemplary Alade family, affirming that the family has the right generation of descendants to take the association to a greater height.

He called on the entire family to encourage and support sons and daughters of the family who might have an interest in politics at any point for the overall development of the town.

He sought continuous cooperation and collective support from Alade descendants, to revive the family reunion known as “Alade Day“, uphold the heritage of Omorenike Alade Abinupagun, the development of the land and other goals of the association.

Delivering his speech, titled ” A Time To Look Forward” Mogaji, Alade Abinupagun Family, Dr. Olugbade Omotajo, admonished members of the family to put aside past grievances and come together to achieve a common goal.

Dr. Olugbade added that the association would achieve a great feat if things are done with a common purpose.

He hinted that Alade Descendants now has a new management paradigm that brings all legacy assets, both land and related inheritance, into the custody of one body for the benefit of the entire family .

The meeting therefore resolved that
Family Convocation takes place annually; every male descendant pays #5,000.00 and female descendant #2,500 annually for the sustenance of activities of AADA.

Other resolutions include the involvement of every member in the  maintenance of the Village, while the executives of AADA should undertake periodic visit to the village and mobilize resource towards the environmental beauty, peace and security of the village; the security and homogeneity of the landed property must be protected.

The meeting also directed that no member should neither claim any portion of Alade land, nor has the right to sell Alade land to any foreigner without the knowledge and consent of the Registered Trustees; the land Use and Development.

The association saddled the Population Control Committee, with the responsibility of developing a master plan for the entire family land and to monitor compliance.

The meeting agreed to set up a political and security committee to monitor political development and offer guidance.
