Nigerian sensation Afro beat singer, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy, has reacted to a Google report claiming that his net worth is $22 million.
In a recent interview with Apple Music, the host brought up the fact that a quick Google search revealed that he is worth $22 million. He also questioned whether the information was accurate or not.
Laughing aloud at the question, Burna Boy thereafter stated that it is better for people to believe he is worth that amount, but he indicated that the reported amount is significantly off the mark.
While he neither confirmed or otherwise the reported amount, the Grammy award-winning Afrobeats sensation once claimed that he made $100 million in a year.
In another development, the singer said that most Afrobeat musicians lack life experiences, which renders their music empty, in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.
He characterized Afrobeat music as exciting and entertaining but devoid of real-life experiences.
Burna Boy characterized musicians as having their own ups and downs in life, including good days, terrible days, and difficult moments that surround the creation of music.
The self-acclaimed African Giant discussed the necessity for artists to incorporate real-life experiences into their works of art, noting that the genre is “literally nothing”.
