Afia Homes and Properties has been officially crowned the Biggest Indigenous Real Estate Developer of the year 2026 at the 11th City People Real Estate Awards organized by City People, a leading soft-sell magazine in Nigeria, on the 29th March 2026 at the Etal Events Centre, Oregun, Lagos.
The recognition celebrates Afia Homes and Properties’ unparalleled contributions, innovative projects, and significant impacts on the nation’s housing landscape over the past years.
The award presentation, met with resounding applause, also highlighted Afia Homes and Properties’ commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable, and sustainable housing solutions across board.

Mrs. Shukrat Karheem, a representative from Afia Homes and Properties, expressed profound gratitude to the organizers of the award for recognizing hard work and celebrating excellence.
Speaking also on the recognition, Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIARB, MCIOB, MCABE, Mogaji Adanla, the Chairman and CEO of Afia Group, attributed Afia Homes and Properties’ remarkable achievements to years of efforts and commitments, noting that the public’s observation of the company’s trajectory is inspiring.
Mogaji Adanla dedicated the award to HIM Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadan Land. He stated that Oba Ladoja conceived the Afia dream eight years ago and encouraged him to leave London, return to Ibadan, and establish the company.
