The Baale Ebira of Ibadanland and Oyo State, Chief (AMB) Lamidi Aliu Balogun, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, urging them to sustain the spiritual lessons imbibed during the holy month.

Speaking with journalists on Friday at his palace in Mokola, Ibadan, the traditional leader emphasized that Ramadan offers a unique opportunity for Muslims to draw closer to Allah through acts of worship, self-discipline, and compassion for the less privileged.

According to him, the fasting period not only strengthens faith but also instills the virtue of generosity, as adherents are encouraged to extend support to the poor and vulnerable in society. He therefore called on Muslims to continue in the service of God and humanity even after the festivities.

The Baale further commended the longstanding cordial relationship between the Ebira people and their host community in Ibadan, describing it as peaceful and devoid of rancour. He noted that the bond has continued to grow stronger over the years, fostering unity and mutual respect among residents.

Reflecting on recent developments, he acknowledged the efforts of leadership in promoting inclusiveness and strengthening ties with various ethnic groups, expressing optimism that such harmony would be sustained for the continued progress of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
