The Parliament Diary Media Group is set to mark its 5th anniversary with a grand celebration on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the prestigious NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The event promises to be a landmark occasion, blending intellectual engagement, recognition of national contributors, and a major investment in media innovation.

In a statement signed by the Publisher, Chief P.C. Enebuse, the media group announced that the anniversary celebration will feature a thought-provoking public lecture, the presentation of special recognition awards, and the official launch of a N250 million Digital Press Initiative designed to modernize and expand the media group’s operations across print, radio, television, and online platforms.

A major highlight of the event will be a lecture titled “Will the next general elections be more peaceful with a one-party system structure?”, to be delivered by Prof. Phillip Adeyinka Oyadiran, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Gowon University, FCT (formerly University of Abuja). The lecture is expected to stir conversation around electoral peace and the future of Nigeria’s multiparty democracy.

The celebration will also include the Parliament Diary Special Recognition Awards, an annual tradition honoring individuals and institutions who have made exceptional contributions to legislative development, civic engagement, and national service. The award categories will be unveiled during the event.

The ceremony, according to the statement, will bring together notable figures from politics, religion, governance, and the private sector.

Leading the list of guests is High Chief Government Ekpemukpolo, Chairman/CEO of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, who will serve as the Chief Guest of Honour.

Other special guests include Sheikh Muhammad Nura Khalid, former Chief Imam of the National Assembly Legislative Quarters, Hon. Jesse Okey-Joe Onuakalusi (Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II, Lagos), Hon. Amos Gwamna Abel Magaji (Zango Kataf/Zaba Federal Constituency, Kaduna), and Hon. Dr. Ahmed Adam Saba (Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Kwara State).

The event will also host Dr. Eugene Uchenna Okolocha, Commissioner representing South-South in the Nigerian Law Reform Commission; Pastor Peter Inyang, Global Lead Pastor, Kingdom Stars Gospel Centre; Hon. Engr. Henry Marah, Jaba Constituency, Kaduna State House of Assembly; Chief Michael Uchenna Ajala, Chairman/CEO of Uchetex Link Ventures Limited; and Prince Joseph Eniola Ojajuni, National President of Afenifere Youths Worldwide.

Also gracing the occasion are Evang. Amb. Ralph CD Nwadavid (Ezeonodugo), CEO of Ramson David Engineering & Co. (West Africa) Ltd., who will serve as Father of the Day, and Dr. Tinuola Babafemi Nakey, General Overseer of House of Praise and Prayer, Canada, as Mother of the Day.

The event will be hosted by Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Abuja.
