Children’s Day: Hassan Giwa Calls For Greater Focus On Children’s Rights

The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa, has called on the government at all levels to give more commitment to the promotion of children’s rights.

Mr Giwa, who gave the charge in a statement to commemorate the 2025 Children’s Day, described children as bearers of torch light, inspiration and hope for the future.

He disclosed that it is the responsibility of the government to provide quality education, which he said is a fundamental foundation of economic and social development.

The APC chieftain in Oyo State maintained that through his foundation, Hassan Olawale Giwa, he will continue to support the dreams and admirations of children within his capacity.

Mr Giwa said that his foundation remains committed to the promotion of formal and informal education through free vocational training to brighten their future.

He urged the government at all levels to give priority to the provision of quality education in terms of structures and other materials and conducive environment that will aid teaching and learning to lay a solid foundation for the future.

Mr Giwa called on the government to redouble their efforts in protecting children from danger and violence in line with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Child Rights Acts, 2003.

While congratulating Nigeria children on this year’s celebration of their day, the HOG Foundation founder urged them to remain committed to their education either formal or informal, emphasizing that there are many ways to greatness.
