Hassan Giwa Lauds Power Minister, Adelabu Over Step To Decentralize Power Sector, Provision Of Hybrid Power Project

The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa, has lauded the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu over the initiative of the Federal government to decentralize the power sector to address the challenges of epileptic power supply.

The Asiwaju Musulumi of Ibadanland also appreciated the Power Minister for coming up with a policy of providing sustainable and reliable energy to critical national institutions across the country.

Mr Giwa disclosed that the commendation is essential not only to the Power Minister, but all that have been working in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The HOG Foundation founder maintained that the step taken by the Ministry of Power to decentralize the power sector will enable all levels of government: federal, state, and local to play vital roles in ensuring that citizens have access to regular electricity.

He said that the decentralization will enable the state to generate, transmit and distribute power.

Mr Giwa urged Nigerians to appreciate the government when it is necessary and it is doing what is expected and criticize constructively when they feel otherwise.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu recently inaugurated a 2.5 megawatt solar hybrid power project at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna State, it is part of the federal government’s commitment to providing sustainable and reliable energy to critical national institutions.
