As part of activities marking its 20th anniversary, ParrotXtra Media Network is set to host a high-level Southwest Leadership and Legacy Summit on May 5, 2025, in Ibadan.
The event, which will bring together governors of the Southwest region, will take place at The Excellessor, beside BCOS in Basorun, Ibadan, with Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, playing host.
With the theme “Southwest: Critical Issues to Shape the Future”, the summit aims to engage stakeholders on developmental priorities in the region.
Dr. Seye Oyeleye, Director General of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission, is billed to deliver the keynote address.
Royal Fathers of the Day include the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Owoade; the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin; and the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin. Former Senate member and first female Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, will serve as Mother of the Day.
The strictly-by-invitation summit is expected to draw several distinguished personalities, including General Oladayo Popoola (rtd), media icon Basorun Dele Momodu, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, AIG Tunji Alapini (rtd), and Professor Ayobami Salami, among others.
