The Emure local government People’s Democratic Party, PDP caretaker chairman, Hon Princess (Mrs) Cecilia Ebiesuwa has congratulated Christian faithful in Emure local government, Ekiti state and Nigeria as a whole on the occasion of this year Easter celebration
In a statement personally signed and made available to online journalists on Saturday in Emure Ekiti, she said Easter is a time of celebration and reflection, reinforcing the central tenet of Christianity and offering believes a reminder of God is love and forgiveness.
According to her, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is seen as the fulfilment of prophesies regarding the messiah”s death and resurrection, further validating as the son of God.
The Emure Ekiti grassroot politician uses this Easter celebration to federal government of Nigerian to come up with a new strategic plan so as to revive our ailing economy for the progress of the country and its inhabitants.
“The current economic situation in this country calls for a serious strategic plan. Government should do everything humanly possible to make life more meaningful for its citizens.
She however admonished Christian faithful in Emure Ekiti and Ekiti state in particular to be magnanimous in celebration, saying Easter celebrates the rresurrection of Jesus Christ which is considered the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
