Mogaji Tahiru Kolawole Agbo Bere, a respected indigene of Ibadanland and social scientist, has praised Oyo State Governor Engr. Oluwaseyi A. Makinde for his outstanding contributions to society, particularly for his support of the Man O’ War paramilitary organization, to which Kolawole belongs.
Kolawole, who is also an alumnus of institutions such as the University of Ado-Ekiti and Lautech, highlighted the governor’s commitment to societal development and his leadership in promoting truth and integrity.
During an address on leadership and societal progress, Kolawole emphasized the importance of standing by the truth, regardless of societal attitudes.
He lauded His Royal Highness Oba Tajudeed Ajibola for his unwavering commitment to transparency and truth, describing him as a role model whose actions have shaped Kolawole’s own approach to leadership.
Kolawole credited the success of the Man O’ War in Oyo State to its adherence to truth, hard work, and training.
He urged public officials, leaders, and youth to dedicate themselves selflessly to the service of society, reminding them that true service brings both earthly and divine rewards.
On the subject of Ibadan’s potential as a state, Kolawole expressed strong support for the creation of Ibadan State, citing the city’s historical significance as a unifier of Nigerian tribes and its rich resources.
He called on Nigerian legislators to prioritize the formation of Ibadan State, urging them to grant assent before the expiration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s first term.
Kolawole praised the president’s efforts on tax reform and local government autonomy, expressing confidence that his administration will lead Nigeria to greater heights on the global stage.
Kolawole therefore appealed to all citizens to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress, emphasizing the need for collective action to restore Nigeria’s glory and ensure a prosperous future for the country.
