Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent figure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has called on Nigerians, particularly opposition party members, to refrain from making comments that could incite unrest or destabilize the country.

Speaking to newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, Osun state capital, Oyintiloye stated that while opposition parties have the right to scrutinize government policies, their remarks should remain constructive and not detrimental to national unity.

The former lawmaker highlighted that negative and unchecked criticisms could distract the Federal Government from its goals.

He urged opposition figures to focus on offering solutions through thoughtful critiques rather than fostering division.

According to Oyintiloye, comments rooted in bitterness and hatred only deepen societal rifts and hinder progress.

He further stated that anyone using the guise of opposition to sow discord should be viewed as a threat to national cohesion.

Citing recent inflammatory remarks from opposition members, Oyintiloye stressed that such rhetoric was unpatriotic, warning that it could lead to unnecessary uproar.

“While opposition parties are entitled to critique the government, their criticisms should be constructive, highlighting both positive policies and areas for improvement,” Oyintiloye said.

“In doing so, they contribute to the democratic process and help enhance governance for the benefit of all Nigerians.”

Oyintiloye also urged the government to engage stakeholders in the policy formation process, reducing the potential for criticism during policy implementation.

He concluded by reiterating the need for Nigerians to support the president with prayers and constructive contributions to ensure the success of the government’s initiatives.
