Manchester United Part Ways with Erik ten Hag After Poor Season Start

Manchester United has dismissed manager Erik ten Hag following a series of disappointing results, with the final straw being a 2-1 loss to West Ham.

The Dutch coach, who had been at thfe helm for two and a half years, faced mounting criticism as United struggled this season, sitting in 14th place after nine games.

Although Ten Hag led the team to an FA Cup victory against Manchester City and a Carabao Cup win, recent performances—including losses to Tottenham and Liverpool—placed his position in jeopardy.

In the interim, former United star Ruud van Nistelrooy will serve as the head coach while the club searches for a permanent replacement.

United’s board, reportedly unanimous in their decision, aims to revive the team’s fortunes amid a decade-long drought in the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure.
