Aiming to revolutionise the digital landscape for Nigeria’s youth, Precision Automation Consult, a leading tech company, has set an ambitious goal to lift three million Nigerian youths out of poverty through free digital skills training.
At a press conference in Ibadan on October 4, the company’s Founder and Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Odah, outlined this initiative, which seeks to equip youths with vital tech skills to secure financial independence and reduce unemployment.
The company’s NGO arm, “Skillify Digital,” will oversee the nationwide training program, targeting youth across both urban and rural areas.
The initiative comes on the heels of a successful collaboration with the Oyo state government, which recently trained 3,000 youths in digital skills such as artificial intelligence, digital marketing, web creation, and Amazon publishing.
Mr. Odah emphasized the importance of preparing the Nigerian youth for the emerging global market, noting that opportunities in tech could steer them away from unproductive activities or Internet fraud.
In his address, Odah urged for collaboration between public and private sectors to combat youth unemployment, calling on Nigeria to harness the untapped potential of the digital economy. He highlighted that youths could turn their social media habits into opportunities for entrepreneurship, driving economic growth and innovation.
With support from various state governments, Precision Automation will expand this program nationwide, aiming to empower the next generation of Nigerians to thrive in the fast-evolving digital world.
The company’s focus is not just on employment, but also on fostering entrepreneurship that will contribute to the long-term economic development of the country.
