Security operatives have disrupted a protest in the Karu area of the Federal Capital Territory, detaining at least three individuals.
The protesters were assembling when security agents intervened, using teargas to disperse the crowd.
Yahaya Abdullahi, one of the protesters, stated that the security forces employed force and arrested several of their fellow demonstrators.
He said, “Our people were just coming out when the police and other security agents began tear-gassing us and arrested some of our people. We know of three arrests so far.”
