Coalition of Pro-democracy Groups For A Better Nigeria has urged all stakeholders including the electorates in the forthcoming cycle elections holding on Saturday, November 11 in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo states to abhor violence during and after the elections.
In a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Awa Bamiji on Sunday, and made available to newsmen, the coalition warned political thugs against formenting troubles during the exercise.
Mr Bamiji also advised corrupt individuals among the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to think twice as they will be exposed and will get appropriate justice.
“While we call on the electorates to go out enmass and cast their votes without fair and favour, we advise the political thugs, hoodlums, election riggers, unknown gunmen and bad eggs among the INEC and Security Agencies to steer clear of these three States during the election because there would be any hidden place for them,” the statement read.
The coalition however promised deployment of its members, as usual with the previous elections in the country, to all strategic places in the three States to monitor the exercise on Saturday.
“We, June 12 Activists, are masters of the games when it comes to policing elections in Nigeria in the last three decades. The usual gimmicks, lies and propaganda of the enemies of democracy have failed them day by day. A word is enough for the wise,” the coalition stated.
